Grey Zone (MMR)
The MMR (Meet-Me Room) Zone, often referred to as the “Gray Zone” in data centres, is a critical area where external optical cables enter and are distributed internally.
Serving as the main distribution point for high-fiber-count cables, the MMR Zone plays a vital role in routing optical fibres to each floor of the data centre using a variety of multi-fibre and pre-connectorized solutions. It supports interconnection between different systems within the data centre and accommodates backup lines from multiple ISPs.
Effective management of multi-fibre optical cables in this zone is essential for ensuring reliable connectivity and operational efficiency.
